Why choose David Archuleta as the focus of this fansite?
Ryan and I had planned to make a fansite for David because we thought he was amazing after we saw his audition. He’s such an amazing singer and a great person, we quickly became huge fans. Both of us decided to show our support through something we know best, Web Design. So we created this site for David Archuleta to show our support and to provide for the other fans who are just like us.

How did you go about choosing the domain name?
All the good ones were taken that included David’s whole name, so we decided on something more creative. I had a website before for Chantal Jones, one of the finalists on America’s Next Top Model. I called it Chantal HQ because of all the high quality photos and media I had on the site. I pitched the idea to Ryan and we both agreed on the site name be be David HQ. I have access to all high quality content so I would be able to provide only the best to the fans.

Are you satisfied with how the site has turned out so far?
I think for the most part, both of us are. The site has become a huge success, whenever someone needs HQ photos this is the first place to come to. And if there’s anything new about David, DHQ is one of the first sites to post about it. We started out thinking, ‘Oh we’re just going to make a fansite, if it’s not successful we’ll just close it, but if it is then we’ll keep going.’. And fortunately, we kept going because now we’re on the front page of Google and we have so many unique visitors a day.
